User Terms

Terms for users booking a pandit

Eligibility and account

  • You must provide accurate name, email, phone, address, city, state, and a valid 6-digit pincode, including latitude and longitude where required for registration or booking.
  • You must verify your email and keep login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Passwords must meet platform rules (at least 8 characters with a letter and a number).
  • Do not create fake accounts, abuse referral codes, or submit another person’s details without permission.

Booking a pooja

  • Select a valid pandit, pooja/ritual, date, time, service option (with or without pooja samagri), price, and service address before confirming payment.
  • Bookings must be scheduled at least 24 hours before the pooja start time. Same-day or short-notice bookings may be blocked.
  • For muhurat-based poojas, the selected muhurat must still be available when the booking is created.
  • For regular schedule-based poojas, the slot must fit the pandit’s weekly availability and the listed duration.
  • Review samagri lists, inclusions, exclusions, devotee limits, language, pooja style, and notes before you pay.

Payments, wallet, and refunds

  • Pay through supported Razorpay methods, your Puja Partner wallet balance, or a supported combination of both.
  • A booking is treated as paid only after payment verification succeeds and a booking payment ledger entry is recorded.
  • Wallet balance may receive refunds, referral rewards, and other approved credits, and may be used for eligible future bookings.
  • Users cannot self-cancel a booked pooja in the current product flow. For exceptional cases, contact support for admin review.
  • If the assigned pandit cancels an eligible paid booking, the remaining refundable paid amount is credited to your wallet.
  • If a booking is auto-cancelled because the pandit did not respond before the 24-hour cutoff, eligible payments are refunded to your wallet.
  • Admin refunds cannot exceed the remaining paid amount that has not already been refunded. See our Refund Policy for details.

Start, completion, and reviews

  • Approve start only when the pandit has arrived and the pooja is ready to begin; approve end only when the service is actually complete.
  • You may reject start or end approval with a reason if the requested stage has not happened correctly.
  • OTP or confirmation steps may be required for arrival or completion workflows where enabled.
  • Reviews and ratings are allowed only for completed poojas. Pending, cancelled, or incomplete bookings are not eligible.
  • False approvals, abusive reviews, or misuse of the booking workflow may lead to account restrictions.

User responsibilities

  • Keep the venue accessible and ready at the booked time, including entry instructions and a reachable phone number.
  • Arrange user-side samagri when your selected service option requires you to bring items.
  • Treat pandits respectfully. Do not ask them to move payment or booking records outside Puja Partner after connecting through the platform.
  • Do not submit fake bookings, false refund claims, unlawful content, or misleading personal information.
Pandit Terms

Terms for pandits and experts

Verification and public profile

  • Provide truthful personal, Pathshala/training, address, location, service area, experience, language, and expertise details.
  • Expert features may require email verification, admin approval, completed onboarding, profile photo, and KYC review. Pending experts may have limited access until approved.
  • Aadhaar front, Aadhaar back, PAN, and bank or UPI payout details are required before withdrawals are enabled.
  • Changing sensitive KYC, bank, or compliance information may move verification back to pending until admin review is complete.
  • Public profile details, pooja services, pricing, samagri information, ratings, city, and service areas may be shown to users.

Availability, acceptance, and punctuality

  • Keep weekly availability, active status, and service areas (within platform limits) accurate.
  • A maximum of 3 availability slots per day may be saved, and slots on the same day must be at least 1 hour apart.
  • Once a booking is assigned or accepted, arrive on time, prepared, and able to perform the selected pooja.
  • If a booking remains pending expert response and reaches the 24-hour cutoff before the pooja, the system may auto-cancel it.
  • On expert-pending auto-cancellation after user payment, the user is refunded to wallet and you may be charged a penalty equal to 50% of the booking amount.
  • Repeated late response, late arrival, no-show, cancellation, or valid user complaints may affect visibility, wallet balance, verification, or account status.

Pooja service listings

  • Maintain accurate pooja names, descriptions, duration, pricing with and without samagri, required items, images, benefits, and notes.
  • If a service requires a specific muhurat, keep muhurat dates and start times accurate and available.
  • Clearly describe what is included and what is not included so users can prepare correctly.
  • Inactive or deleted services may not be bookable. Puja Partner may hide or restrict inaccurate, unsafe, misleading, duplicate, or non-compliant listings.

Start, completion, earnings, and payouts

  • Request start approval only when ready to begin, and end approval only after the pooja is complete.
  • Earnings are credited after completion through user end-confirmation or an approved completion workflow.
  • Net earning is the gross booking amount minus the configured platform commission.
  • Your wallet may include booking earnings, referral rewards, plan purchases, penalties, withdrawal holds, and payout outcomes.
  • Payout requests require sufficient balance, approved verification, payout method, bank or UPI details, Aadhaar front/back, PAN, and no existing pending payout request.
  • Admins may approve, reject, or complete payouts. Balance remains in the wallet ledger until payout completion.

Cancellation and emergency replacement

  • Pandit cancellation marks the booking cancelled/rejected and may refund the user for any remaining refundable paid amount.
  • Cancel only for genuine unavoidable reasons and provide a clear reason.
  • Emergency replacement flows may allow another approved pandit to respond to an open replacement request.
  • Responding to an emergency or help request means you are genuinely available for that time, place, and ritual.

Pandit Network

  • Pandit Network is for verified pandits to request help, publish availability, view nearby opportunities, and respond to emergency needs.
  • Access may require a recharge plan. Current plans: Monthly ₹99 (30 days), Half Yearly ₹499 (180 days), Yearly ₹999 (365 days).
  • Recharge validity stacks from current expiry when an active plan exists, or from purchase date when none exists.
  • Plan payments may use expert wallet, Razorpay, or a supported combination.
  • Help requests must include accurate ritual, location, date/time window, number of pandits, contact number, and dakshina where applicable.
  • Accepting a help request creates a pending response until the requester confirms; confirmation may reveal contact details and lock the opportunity.
  • Availability and festival posts must be truthful and should be updated or allowed to expire when no longer valid.
